This month’s call will start with Tony discussing paths toward achieving decarbonization goals. Additionally, Tony will review the decarb tool Decarbonization Proforma SaaS Platform. This tool helps clients calculate the current carbon performance of the property and predict future performance based on industry-accepted methodology and decarbonization commitments from utility service providers or state policy. The platform calculates the effects of energy improvements on carbon emissions, allowing the client to meet emissions reduction goals for the property.
Sara will join Tony in talking about resiliency. She will share how Bellwether uses geospatial AI to generate insights about severe weather risks to physical infrastructure. Their first product focuses on wildfire risk. Commercial and residential real estate customers have used their 100-m resolution risk maps and mitigation simulation tool to help property managers and owners assess risk, respond to local risk management agencies, and manage/counter insurance policy changes. Partners include SwissRe and Nationwide on the insurance side and the National Guard and US Forest Service in the public sector.
As a bonus, Jason Lind and Rick Varnell will discuss predictions from the annual Mobile World Congress, Barcelona conference.
